Our Tamworth Depot is a major picking depot, employing more than 130 colleagues and operating a fleet of more than 60 vehicles. The depot serves major convenience retailers in the region.
We have an opportunity for a Warehouse Supervisor to join us in Tamworth on our night shift. We're looking for someone who is either operating at Warehouse Supervisor level already or someone who is ambitious and keen to take a step up and take on a bigger role.
What you'll be doing
As a Warehouse Supervisor, your key priority will be to ensure consistent application of the department standards and processes in order to deliver the inbound, picking and dispatch schedule safely, legally and meeting operational KPIs and costs.
We need someone with a practical experience in HR issues such as recruitment, performance management and disciplinaries.
Shift : Any 5 from 7 - Night shift 21:30-06:00
What we’re looking for
Tamworth is a large picking depot and one of the busiest and most complexed in the area. Managing 5 major contracts across multiple shifts challenges our colleagues and enables them to build on their knowledge and grow their careers.
An ideal candidate will be from a chilled food background and already be operating at Warehouse Supervisor / FLM level. However, we are willing to consider candidates with strong HR background, or someone with experience of managing large teams and looking to make a move into logistics and distribution. You must have:
- Availability to work any 5 from 7 - Night shift
- Experience of managing absence, disciplines, investigations, and conducting interviews
- Experience of managing large teams – up to 70
