What you'll be doing

As a Machine Operator within Greencore Wisbech, your key focus will be to ensure smooth running of the day to day processes within the area, to ensure the production lines and depositors are running/maintained efficiently ensuring that due diligence and documentation are compliant with legal, business and customer requirements. Key responsibilities include:

Responsible for the documentation and procedural process for the operational area, ensuring at all times that procedures are followed.
To use quality systems and processes, which create, maintain and improve the integrity and food safety of all products manufactured.
To ensure that Health and Safety procedures are adhered to, creating a safe working environment.
To ensure that the heads/dies/denesters and pasta droppers are set up to specification ensuring that the Pa`s/pro seals/eclipse are running to maximum efficiency – Ensuring a full clean down at every change over inside the machine.
To ensure the depositors are built and set up correctly on the production lines.
Changing webs and set up.
Head maintenance training is required for Pa`s/pro seals/eclipse (when asset care are not at work) including dismantling heads/dies and replacing blades, seals and springs etc.
To ensure that effective communication takes place within your area.
To operate in a flexible manner, responding to changing circumstances/scenarios and being able to think alone in challenging times.
to maximise productivity and efficiency by ensuring lines are run optimally within the legal, company procedures and customer requirements.

For this role, we are looking for the following:

Good Literacy and Numeracy skills
Problem solving skills
Good communicator and ability to work in a team
Experience working within a food manufacturer preferred
Experience operating Manufacturing plant equipment / machinery
Allergen awareness
L2 Food Safety is preferred but not essential
