Head of Supply

What you'll be doing

We are looking for a Head of Supply to create and implement the supply chain strategy for the Division to ensure that business plan and strategic objectives are achieve.

  • Formulate and implement a supply chain strategy to ensure that business targets are delivered and support is in place to develop each location/manufacturing unit to deliver the appropriate strategic objectives
  • Provide leadership and direction to ensure that across the business unit the supply chain team are kept safe, engaged, focused, developed and delivering to their potential
  • Promote compliance with and the improvement of safe operating policies and practices across all supply chain operations within the Division, including third parties, to embed a safety first culture within the working environment
  • Ensure forecasting, planning, material requisitions, stock control, warehousing, and distribution processes are in place at all locations/manufacturing units to ensure customer service expectations are met in the most efficient and cost effective manner
  • Oversee the deployment of the Sales and Operating Planning process to ensure sufficient production capacity, stocks or finished goods and raw materials and labour are in place to meet projected customer orders at the most optimum cost.

What we’re looking for

  • Degree Calibre
  • Demonstrable experience as a senior leader of a supply and distribution team in a FMCG environment ; experience to include development and execution of supply chain strategy
  • In-depth knowledge of Supply Chain procedures and practices
  • Experience of leading multi-site team
  • Experience of leading major projects and delivering change within a large function/medium sized organisation
  • Financial awareness and high level of understanding of profit and loss management
  • Proficient on Microsoft Office Suite
