Our state of the art facility at Kiveton is theUKs largest quiche bakery, producing more than 42 million quiche each year for a wide range of retail and delicatessen customers.

We also produce a wide range of chilled meals, soups and sauces as well as a range of chilled prepared meals and quiche under license from Weight Watchers International Inc.

Kiveton is also the centre for the Greencores chilled trunker fleet. The consolidation and despatch area here is the base for a large fleet of temperature controlled vehicles that provide cost-effective distribution for Greencore companies and, under contract, for other chilled food manufacturers.

What you'll be doing

Responsible for delivering goods in a safe and timely manner

Directly liaise with delivery points

Portray a professional branded image to all our customers

To liaise and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external customers

obtain signed or electronic POD'S

Complete necessary transport administration at start , end and during shift

Drive in a fuel efficent and safe manner

Full compliance with all EU Driver Hours and RTD Regulations

Ensure goods are transported with correct temperature specifications

Ensure all equipment is used in line with the safe systems of work

Pre and post vehicle checks are completed and any defects reported in the correct manner

Have no unspent endorsements other than endorsements for speeding and or parking offences to a maximum of 6 points

Compliant with Driver Certificate of Professional Competence

Have no convictions (spent or otherwise) for careless/dangerous driving or driving under the influence of drink or drugs - convictions for CD/DD-DR/DD within the last 5 years

Be fully conversant with the requirements of EC Directive 561/2006 and 3821/85 and strictly obey the requirements of the law related to Drivers Hours and Tachograph systems. The same should apply to working time regulations.

Have reasonable knowledge of the UK Highway Code and be able to read and understand written instructions displayed on road signs.

Display a reasonable understanding of the legal restrictions applied to Large Goods Vehicles particularly : Bridge height warning signs, yelow box junctions and restricted zones - London Congestion Charging / London Lorry ban.

Minimum of 6 months experience in a similar working environment required.
