What you'll be doing
Are you an experienced Engineering Project Manager looking for a new challenge in a fast-paced environment? Come join our team at Spalding!
As the Engineering Project Manager, you will report directly to the Engineering Controller and will have a Project Engineer reporting into you to support with delivery of projects across the site. Youll be working on 5-7 projects ranging from budgets from 100k up to 3 million, with areas of focus including automation and robotics.
Your responsibilities will also include, but not be limited to:

Proactively managing end-to-end project/change implementation within well-defined timelines and budgets, covering all facets of implementation, ensuring that project objectives are achieved

Monitoring bought-in services, including external suppliers (technology partners or outsourced providers), to ensure the adherence to Manufacturing Unit standards and the delivery of agreed specifications

Travel to Europe 2-3 times a year to inspect and review new machinery for the site

Ensure that change control procedures are adhered to and that project deliverables are completed within planned cost, timescale and resource budgets, and ensure that these are endorsed by stakeholder

Identify, assess, and mitigate risks that could affect the success of the project through a maintenance of a topical risk management plan which ensures that all stakeholders are aware of obstacles to successful delivery

Provide advisory support for Product Development, engaging with the team to ensure engineering involvement from product concept through to launch is achieved

As our Engineering Project Manager, you will be a strong team player who is able to drive projects whilst supporting those around you. Youll have a strong background working with the food industry, as well as:

Utilised a recognised project delivery method such as PMI/PRINCE2

Used AutoCAD or similar design software to produce design specifications

Current knowledge of Risk Management legislation and CDM regulations

Proven track record of managing contracts and third-party providers
-
Familiarity with technologies: Data Centre Hosting, Managed Infrastructure Services, ERP Implementation, BI Implementation to look for alignment and efficiencies with local manufacturing requirements
