Manage all facets of material handling within Greencore building including receiving, shipping, warehouse and shop floor. Supervise materials personnel, planning and purchasing personnel, material clerks, data entry clerk and truck driver. Manage all inventory control areas within specified areas.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise receiving/shipping/material handling clerks, purchasing and planning employees
- Assist in implementation of lot control program
- Implement & maintain MRP and MPS planning system for facility
- Implement cost reduction programs and monitor progress as relating to materials
- Monitor the adherence to company policies and procedures
- Assist in the formulation of new policies and procedures
- Manage inventory identification, flows, storage and discrepancies
- Manage accuracy of inventory information within computer database
- Any other duties assigned by Plant Manager
The Ideal Candidate
Manages two subordinate supervisors who supervise employees in the Receiving, Shipping, Material Handling, Planning & Purchasing Departments. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or one to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
