Vice President of Information Technology

Job Introduction

The Vice President of Information Technology is responsible for leading group IT function, ensuring strategy is aligned with business, and technologies are available in order to meet the business demands while ensuring the highest level of technical/software security within the network.  Provides information management services for the company to maximize the effectiveness of data collection, processing and reporting.  Defines and solves user requirements and, utilizing Information Systems Team, develops and implements computer applications and solutions.

Role Responsibility

What you’ll be doing:

  • Provide strategy and leadership direction for the IT function to ensure that the team work to provide excellent IT infrastructure and support to the business  to enable the delivery of the Business Strategy and vision by quality and alignment of IT Strategy and achievement of strategic/business objectives for the IT function.
  • Act as the senior point of contact, with the business and key stakeholders, ensuring strong relationships are built and maintained to maximize opportunities for IT to support efficient and effective business operations by maintaining a distinguishable reputation/invitations to engage in business operation discussions and through innovations/savings created through IT.
  • Provide leadership and direction to ensure that across the IT teams people are engaged, focused, developed and delivering their potential by hiring talent and succession plans and high “People at the Core” survey results.
  • Lead and motivate the IT team to ensure their functional areas are run efficiently and effectively.
  • Forecast and control the functional spending to deliver a fit for purpose IT infrastructure and service within agreed budget by controlling costs.
  • Ensure overall IT performance meets business needs and IT function have systems in place that are fit for purpose by SLA Achievement, 100% availability of core systems and having a strategy in place with evidence of progression.
  • Assistance/Attendance of special events as required by U.S. Leadership Team.

The Ideal Candidate

What you’ll need:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field plus ten

(10) years of experience in a professional/administrative capacity (preferred)





Knowledge, Skills,

and Abilities:

  • Equivalent combination of education, experience, knowledge, skills and generally acquired through ten (10) years of IT leadership experience of increasing variety and/or complexity.
  • Demonstrate experience in leading a multi-site team.
  • Experience of manufacturing and logistics preferably developed in the food or consumer products sector.
  • Experience of senior leadership decision making.
  • Results-focused with demonstrated competence to assess priorities, manage a variety of activities in a time-sensitive and fast-paced environment, and meet deadlines with attention to details and quality
  • Excellent organizational and inter-personal skills with a strong customer-service (Both internal and external customers) outlook and a clear sense of initiative, assertiveness, emotional intelligence; able to interact professionally with culturally diverse staff, clients and consultants
  • Demonstrate ability and temperament to work with sensitive information
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and proficiency in business vocabulary to effectively represent the U.S. Leadership Team and the company to outside parties
  • Good attention to detail and decision-making skills to respond to high- pressure situations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate strong time management skills to plan, manages, and coordinates and major functions




Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs., ability to work on computer for long periods of time and requires sitting for extended periods of time.

Work Environment:

  • Fast-paced, dynamic office environment with constant interaction and communication with internal and external contacts, requiring ability to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive issues, and maintain good working relationships. Requires long periods of mental concentration, computer work, and telephone.







While performing the duties of this job, the employee is subject to standing for prolonged periods; frequently walks, grasps,  lifts, holds, or feels objects; occasionally stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls.  The employee frequently is required to use manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination when working and handling products, computers or machinery. The employee is subject to assist and support up to 30 pounds with varying amounts of assistance on a as needed basis. The employee is required to have corrected vision and hearing within normal range and the ability to operate equipment if required. The employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and non-moving mechanical parts. The employee could have work conditions that are extremely cold or extremely hot. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
