Production Issue and Return Operative

Job Introduction

We are currently looking to add an Issue and Return Operative to the nightshift team here at Greencore- Food to Go-Atherstone. As an issue and return operative, the responsibility will include issuing and returning of bread, labels and packaging to ensure all tractability sheets have been correctly completed. This will also include calculating usage and recording information to inform manager of any high over/under usages.

Role Responsibility


Our Issue and Return Operative is responsible for:

  • Collecting and sorting issue and return sheets into lines;
  • Adding and recording volumes and trace code to correct paper work, reporting any discrepancies to manager;
  • Ensuring bread and packaging is ready for the lines in good time;
  • Ensuring all produce has correct use-by date;
  • Recording trace code and use by dates.

The Ideal Candidate

It is important to be able to demonstrate good literacy and numerical skills. The role requires communicating with other departments so understanding and communicating in English will be a key requirement in being able to deliver sustainable results.

The Atherstone site sits within the Food To Go and produces Sandwiches and wraps for leading retailers. The site employs 600+ people and has been an established part of the local community for a number of years.
